LAHORE ( News10 ) – Pakistan has reported 54 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 527,146. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,157 on Thursday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,363 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 238,470 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 151,603 in Punjab 64,373 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 40,430 in Islamabad, 18,670 in Balochistan, 8,706 in Azad Kashmir and 4,894 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,501 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,843 in Sindh, 1,811 in KP, 460 in Islamabad, 248 in Azad Kashmir, 192 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 7,525,432 coronavirus tests and 43,744 in the last 24 hours. 480,696 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,324 patients are in critical condition.
