ISLAMABAD (News10) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) on Wednesday (November 12) in Islamabad
PM Imran will preside over the meeting which will be attended by Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan, Prime Minister AJK and caretaker Chief Minister, Gilgit Baltistan. and some senior federal ministers.
According to sources, the implementation of the decisions taken at the last meeting of the Council of Common Interests will be reviewed during the meeting. National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) report 2018-19 will also be presented in the meeting.
Sources said that the decision to amend the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Ordinance will also be reviewed in the meeting. It is also expected to take the decision regarding release of the census 2017 results during the meeting.
The transfer of control of lower portion of the Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC) to Punjab from CRBC is also part of agenda. The meeting will also consider the decision regarding import of LNG and issue of granting NOC to CJ Hydro.
Sources said that illegal deductions by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from the Provincial Consolidated Fund and the attorney general s recommendations on the Water Accord 1991 are also part of the agenda.
The meeting will be briefed on the domestic industries while matters related to the Higher Education Commission will also come under consideration after the 18th amendment.
