The Embassy organized rice evening. The cooked dishes of Basmati, Irri-6and Irri-9 were placed for the tasting of invited importers
. The leading Nigerien importers were invited to taste Pakistani rice in various dishes like biryani, pulse, white rice and sweet rice.
The focus was on those importers who import from other countries. The traders showed interest to attend the event.
The ambassador Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey briefed them about the nutritional facts of Pakistani rice versus other countries rice.
He informed the audience that Pakistani rice is the cheapest among all available rice varieties. He invited them to explore possibility of importing from brotherly country Pakistan.
The attendees tasted the rice and appreciated its aroma and taste. The minister investment Mr Zakari wargo in his remarks said that biryani, pulao and sweet rice is the most delicious he ever tasted. He encouraged the Nigerien traders to buy from Pakistan.
