Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah takes notice of Karachi blast, seeks report from commissioner


KARACHI (News10) – Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday has taken notice of a blast at first floor of a four-storey building in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7.

According to details, the CM has expressed grief over the loss of precious lives and prayed for early recovery of the wounded people. He has also sought detailed report on the incident by Karachi commissioner.

Earlier today, as many as five people were killed while several injured as an explosion hit a building in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

Nature of the blast has not been ascertained yet but the impact of the explosion was so severe that windowpanes of the nearby buildings were shattered. Balconies of two apartments have been completely destroyed, rescue officials said.

Police and Rangers reached the place of incident and launched a rescue operation.
