Ambassador of Pakistan called on Nigerien Minister of Interior

Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Ambassador of Pakistan to Republic of Niger called on H.E. Dr. Alkache Alhada, Minister of Interior, Republic of Niger at Ministry of Interior.

Both dignitaries discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation including regional and multilateral matters including Afghanistan issue. The Minister desired to increase cooperation in citizen registration, training and intelligence sharing to counter menace of terrorism.

Ambassador Mr. Ahmed Ali also invited Minister of Interior to attend upcoming Pakistan Embassy’s Defence Day Program. Ambassador of Pakistan reminded Pakistan’s proposal to help Government of Niger in citizen Registration facility, secure passport making through NADRA and offer to sign a visa abolition agreement on diplomatic and official passport holders of both brotherly countries. The visa abolition for citizens of both countries was discussed. Alkache, appreciated Ambassador of Pakistan’s active response on his Prime Minister’s appeal to help flood affected population. He also accepted Ambassador of Pakistan’s proposal of visa abolition agreement and instructed Secretary General for necessary preparation. He advised the Ambassador to get proposed MoU from Pakistani ministry of interior for consideration.

Ambassador of Pakistan thanked the Minister and assured his full cooperation.
