Ambassador of Pakistan to Niger Called on Minister of Finance Republic of Niger

Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey called on H.E. Ms. Gourouza Magagi Salamatou, Minister of Finance (Budget) Niger in her office. The Minister very warmly received the Pakistani envoy. During the audience, both sides exchanged message of greetings and good will.

During the meeting, Pakistani Envoy briefed her on various areas of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. He highlighted various initiatives undertaken by Pakistan Embassy including Niger-Pakistan Business Forum-2021, Health & Education Corridor, Niger-Pakistan Friendship University, Pakistan Medical College, Street Children School, Pakistan’s Embassy Qurbani program to Niger, Scholarship program and cooperation in various sectors. Ambassador of Pakistan informed in detail about the Niger-Pakistan Business Forum 2021 held from 16-18 September 2021 in Niamey. He highlighted that around 87 Pakistani companies participated and around 57 MoUs/Agreements signed under the Umbrella of this Business Forum. He informed that the MoU signed between Government of Niger and a Pakistani company to develop Niger-Pakistan Economic Zone. He highlighted the various problem faced by the investors in completion of their legal procedure.

Ms. Gourouza, Nigerien Minister of Finance congratulated Ambassador of Pakistan on the success of Niger-Pakistan Business Forum-2021. Moreover, she thanked the Ambassador for bringing investors of various sectors to Niger. He appreciated the efforts and active role of Ambassador of Pakistan. He promised to solve all the hurdles under the jurisdiction of Ministry of Finance and assured all types of facilitations to Pakistani investors.

Ambassador of Pakistan assured him Pakistan’s full support and cooperation in materializing all MoUs and agreement signed under the umbrella of Niger-Pakistan Business Forum 2021.
