Pakistan reports 1,615 new coronavirus cases, 26 deaths


Islamabad ( News10 ) – Pakistan has reported 26 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 546,428. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 11,683 on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,615 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Province-wise Details

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 247,249 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 157,796 in Punjab 67,214 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,418 in Islamabad, 18,823 in Balochistan, 9,019 in Azad Kashmir and 4,909 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 4,747 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,996 in Sindh, 1,906 in KP, 475 in Islamabad, 262 in Azad Kashmir, 195 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.

Tests and Recoveries

Pakistan has so far conducted 7,966,981 coronavirus tests and 34,785 in the last 24 hours. 501,252 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,092 patients are in critical condition.
